DRINKING WATER

Water intended for human consumption must be chemically, biologically and microbiologically pure and safe to consume without endangering human health.

Drinking water should be colorless, odorless, cool and with a pleasant taste. It must not have a high hardness, nor must it contain a large amount of organic matter, heavy metals, pathogenic microorganisms or microbes. To ensure the right to clean water, the corresponding sampling and analysis must be carried out by accredited laboratories in accordance with ISO / IEC 17025 standard, as dictated by European Legislation. Apart from the private laboratories that were legally accredited, the accreditation of DEYA laboratories has also begun.

At the same time, the certification of materials and products used in drinking water applications is a prerequisite in many countries to avoid water contamination and protect consumer health. This certification is based on the required performance and quality assurance tests based on accredited laboratory measurements.
